AI Full-Stack Engineer

Sofia, Bulgaria

Our client leverages a fully agentic workflow and a low-code/BaaS core backend engine, allowing their engineering team to skip 80% of routine CRUD boilerplate. They need an experience AI Full-Stack Engineer who would (instead of reinventing backend infrastructure) focus on building high-impact features, rich Vue UI/UX, custom API extensions, and scalable system logic for their commercial and public sector clients.

Tech Stack & Tooling:
Core: Vue.js, Go, PostgreSQL, Podman, Cockpit
Planning & Collaboration: Forgejo, OpenSpec
Infrastructure: On-prem (hardware) and Cloud-based SaaS

What You’ll Do:
> Full-Stack Product Feature Development: Translate UI/UX mock-ups into responsive Vue.js interfaces and seamless user experiences in close collaboration with product teams.
> Backend & Fork Architecture: Maintain and extend our open-source Golang backend engine, managing upstream updates, custom API extensions, and system integrations.
> Spec-Driven Development (SDD): Practice Spec-Driven Development using the OpenSpec framework to ensure clean API contracts and architectural clarity.
> AI-Native Engineering: Leverage agentic AI workflows (Claude Code, Cursor) and integrate local/SaaS LLMs into daily engineering practices to boost velocity.
> CI/CD & Reliability: Maintain strict CI/CD validation rules and security practices to ensure reliable delivery in a fast-paced environment.

What We’re Looking For:
> System Design Fundamentals: Strong grasp of core backend concepts—authentication, session persistence, security best practices, and designing for scalability.
> Product & Startup Mindset: High ownership and adaptability. You care about user experience, shipping fast, and solving business problems over writing infrastructure from scratch.
> AI-Native Workflow: Hands-on experience or genuine enthusiasm for using AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development.
> Tech-Agnostic Expertise: While their stack is built on Vue.js, Go, and PostgreSQL, they value engineering fundamentals over specific syntax - engineers coming from Node.js, Python, Java, or C# are fully welcome!
