PHP Team Lead

Our client is on a mission to help forward-thinking brands of all sizes accelerate their growth through exceptional customer experience. 

They are rapidly growing and need a motivated PHP Team Lead who would be excited about growing, both personally and with the development team, as well as solving complex technical and business problems. 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Leading the team in an agile environment, balancing workloads, and positioning the team for scalability. 
  • Setting KPIs to ensure the proper delivery of the business goals.
  • Allocating time for a hands-on personal example of a great development. 
  • Developing new features and mantaining existing ones for an app on Shopify and BigCommerce.
  • Be part of the team that builds and expands their API.
  • Collaborate with the Product Manager, and with different stakeholders in the team (DevOps, FE & BE Devs, R&D Manager, CEO).

Experience Required:

  • Fluent use and understanding of PHP 7.4 and 8 native functions.
  • Extensive experience with PHP frameworks like Symfony, Laravel, CakePHP, or Lumen.
  • Extensive understanding of MVC, OOP, SOLID, and essential Design Patterns.
  • Understanding of MySQL, NoSQL.
  • Understanding how to use Docker Containers.
  • CI/ CD experience, Bitbucket, Jenkins.
  • E2E testing experience.
  • Excellent English.

Nice to have (but not mandatory):

  • Experience with AWS (ECS, Fargate, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, Lambda).
  • Experience with Monitoring and Logging tools such as Grafana, Kibana, Elasticsearch, and Cloudwatch.
  • NodeJS or/and Java understanding.
  • Experience with API's and API specifications (OpenAPI, Swagger).
