Experienced Android Developer

Introduction: We are looking for an Android expert! You will find yourself in an organization without managers. You work in a self-managing team that also includes the client. Together, you work hard on platforms and applications for customers such as IAK, Eneco, KNAB, TD bank, Onlia, Hof Hoorneman, Aruba and many more.

Your challenge: Together with your team members, you are responsible for the end result. Our client is currently looking to extend their mobile team in Sofia with an experienced Android developer who is eager to develop highly innovative, consumer-facing mobile products in the area of finance. You are always looking for new techniques; you also introduce these techniques to your colleagues. With your team, you face the challenge of optimizing the current applications and developing new customized solutions.

Your Ideal Profile:

  • First of all - team player with good communication skills, self-starter, willing to use new technologies
  • You have 2+ years of professional software development for Android
  • You have Android app(s) in the Google Play Store that you developed (on your own or as part of a team)
  • You have knowledge/experience with:

            o OO design and development, data structures and algorithms
            o Architectural patterns MVVM and/or MVP
            o Java, Kotlin, Android Jetpack, RxJAVA
            o Multi-threading and memory management, specific to mobile devices
            o External APls, XML, JSON and serialized data
            o Support library features and concepts
            o The trade-offs when using third party libraries
            o Good understanding of the trade-offs between native apps, web-apps and HTML5 apps

  • You have experience working on long-running products
  • Great command of English​
