Technical Lead

​Our client has been into AI before it was cool and has gathered tons of research knowledge on AI, LLMs, RAGs being a personal research assistant to a solid client base. As part of their growth, they are looking for a Technical Lead to join their team. In this role, while helping out as a Senior developer, you will guide, mentor, and lead a team of engineers, ensuring best practises are kept, guiding architectural decisions, resolving blockers wherever they happen and occasionally join the PO on a client-related side quest. 

Tech stack:

> Service-oriented architecture, microservices;

> PostgreSQL, Non-relational and vector DBs (Elasticsearch/ OpenSearch, ChromaDB, CouchBase);

> Python, Django/Flask;

> AI/ ML/ NLP (Gensim, Torch, Transformers, spaCy, Autogen, etc.);

> GenAI (Windsurf, Cursor, Amazon Q, Claude and others);

> AWS;

> Docker, K8s.

Hands-on development responsibilities:

  • Software development - specification, planning, implementation.
  • Test and adopt new technologies to enhance development productivity.
  • Work in an agile process in a distributed team with limited connectivity.
  • Research, design and integrate software systems.
  • Participation in the full process until product delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

Leadership responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with PMs and stakeholders to align technical decisions with business goals.
  • Provide technical guidance, resolve blockers, and foster a culture of knowledge sharing.
  • Guide architectural decisions and maintain high technical standarts.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding and performance reviews of engineers.
  • Lead & mentor a team of software developers, ensuring code quality and best practices.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of leadership experience.
  • 7+ years of hands-on development experience.
  • 3+ years with Python with a focus on web development.
  • At least 3 years of experience in web development - application servers, web services, rest services, JSON, DBs, and Cloud platforms.
  • Strong architectural and software design patterns knowledge.
