As part of the team expansion, Bulgaria is becoming their next campus location. It will play a crucial role in guiding and supporting students through intensive technical training programs.
The core team is in need of a UI/UX Technical Trainer, that will be part of full-time 3-month boot camps. He/She will work closely with individuals from diverse backgrounds, providing mentorship, feedback, and technical expertise to help them succeed in their learning journey.
Daily tasks:
- Provide mentorship to students enrolled in technical training programs;
- Guide students in understanding complex technical concepts, algorithms, and best practices through coaching sessions;
- Review and provide constructive feedback on students' coding assignments, projects, and portfolios to help them improve their skills and meet learning objectives;
- Lead group discussions, code reviews, and workshops to facilitate peer learning and collaboration among students;
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and tools in the tech industry to ensure the relevance and effectiveness of our curriculum;
- Collaborate with the instructional team to continuously enhance and iterate the curriculum and teaching methodologies based on student feedback and industry developments;
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential;
In these 3-month boot camps you will teach them:
- Requirements Research - User Research, Requirements Management;
- Engineering - Documentation;
- Methods - User-centered design, Design Thinking;
- User Experience Design - Information Architecture, User Personas, User Flows, User Journey, Usability Testing, UX Laws, UX Writing, UX Storytelling
- User Interface Design - Colour theory, Typography, Iconography, Responsive design, Grids, Animation (Micro-interactions), Prototyping;
- Design Systems - Design principles, Elements of a design system, Creating a design system, Component-based thinking, Creating components (in Figma) Design Development;
- Collaboration - Web Development basic knowledge, Collaboration with web developers, Development handoff, Project workflows;
- Ethical Design - Dark and light pattern, (Designers) Code of ethics
- Accessibility (Physical limitations) - Körperliche Einschränkungen, W3C Guidelines for designers;
- Further learning content - Time management and stress coping, Creating case studies, Portfolio tips, Occupational and working fields, Portfolio project;
- Tools - Figma, FigJam, Excalidraw, Notion, Slack;
We are searching for a specialist with:
- A degree in design (or comparable training/boot camp in the field);
- 2+ years of professional experience as a UX/UI designer (or in a related subfield);
- Experience (and passion) as a teacher, workshopper, facilitator, mentor, trainer or lecturer;
- Strong communication, storytelling, and presentation skills;
- Knows both Figma & Notion software inside-out;
- A good understanding of processes and an evolved systematic thinking;
- Mentoring and relationship-building skills with the ability to effectively manage groups and interpersonal conflict situations;
- Genuine enjoyment of passing on your knowledge and helping others grow;
- Passion for people empowerment and equal opportunities;
- High degree of integrity, reliability, planning, organization, and personal responsibility;
- Fluency in English. German is not required, but can be a plus;
- High level of empathy and team-playing abilities;
